Reloadable Prepaid Visa Card for online shopping

I like shopping online, I admit. I don’t have a credit card but most of the online shopping stores in the Philippines always have the option for cash on delivery so I never had a problem. But when I had to book a flight for our honeymoon, I wished I had gotten one. I had wondered if there was a visa prepaid card available in the Philippines and so I tried to search and I came across with the Yazz Card. This is how it looks like.

Yazz card is a reloadable prepaid card that you can use wherever Visa is accepted. It means you can use it at all Visa affiliated stores in the Philippines and abroad. You can use it also on your online purchases.

So I went to the nearest SM Mall and bought the card for 300 pesos. The lady from SM Bills Pay activated it for me and also loaded it for me. I was able to use the card in booking our flights and hotels in Palawan. I’ve used the card in online shopping and subscriptions for apps that I use with no problem.

Another feature of this card is that it can also serve as your savings account. You can withdraw your load in any Metrobank or PSBank ATMs. Though I never tried withdrawing what I put there, I think it’s really cool that you can get back whatever you loaded when you need to.

I was worried at first on how to use it because I thought it would be a complicated process but to my surprise, it was just easy. Just swipe it and use it like how you use a credit card for online shopping.

If there’s one feature I wish this card has is the convenience to reload it online so I don’t have to go to SM to reload it.

There you are. If you are an online shopper and don’t like owning a credit card like me, then this card might be useful to you.
